At the end of every Pacific Island GIS & RS User Conference a number of workshops are hosted around the SPC and USP Campuses by regional experts. This year in particular DigitalGlobe participated in hosting their own high level workshop where Andrew Steele presented on the GBDX Platform - a cloud-based digital library where users have access to geospatial data spanning 16-years and the potential to extract meaningful, effective and changing solutions through embedded tools at their own fingertips.
GBDX has been developed by DigitalGlobe, which owns and operates a sophisticated constellation of commercial, high-resolution Earth imagining satellites. Through GBDX, a 16-year image library has been created, with third party content to create a living digital inventory.
