Members from the PGRSC Committee were in Vanuatu last week for work commitments and thanks to the outreach of our focal point for Vanuatu Mr. Johnny Nimau, we were able to meet the 2020 Conference Organising Committee to discuss ways forward in the organisation of the conference for Vanuatu. Through this meeting, members logistics and planning for the 2020 event, considering human resources and building networks, as well as the best way to outreach to potential attendees to visit the beautiful country of Vanuatu. Council committee members (and board member) met with the Chair, Mr. Arthur Faerua , Director General for the Ministry of Lands & Natural Resources, organising members Mr. Tony Kanas, Mr. Charlington Leo and Mr. Nimau (PGRSC Vanuatu Focal Point).
We are excited to take the conference regionally in 2020, with Vanuatu where they will be celebrating their 40th year of independence and are hosting the Pacific Islands Forum in the same year. We hope to see the same support we have received for a number of years from attendees both local and regionally, in Vanuaut for 2020.
